Tom "Donkey Bomber" Schneider won Event #15 by defeating Owais Ahmed in a short heads-up match to score his third World Series of Poker gold bracelet. Schneider outlasted a field of 862 runners to add a H.O.R.S.E. bracelet to the others that were won in Omaha/Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo Eight or Better and Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo Eight or Better in 2007.

Final Table Results

1Tom Schneider$258,960
2Owais Ahmed$159,950
3Viatcheslav Ortynskiy$108,701
4Rep Porter$75,652
5Frankie O'Dell$53,739
6Scott Bohlman$38,949
7Eddie Blumenthal$28,778
8Mark Klecan$21,679

When Day 3 started Schneider was fifth in chips with 21 players left in the field. He stayed near the top stacks for most of the day. The final hand came down in Razz:

Tom Schneider completed the bet with the {4-Diamonds} as his door card, and Owais Ahmed made the call with the {10-Diamonds}. Ahmed called on fourth with the {8-Hearts} to Schneider's {9-Hearts}. Schneider checked on fifth street and Ahmed bet to send Schneider into the tank. About a minute passed before he check-raised. Ahmed called — and called on sixth.

Ahmed: {10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{2-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Schneider: {4-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{5-Spades}

Schneider tossed two red chips in on seventh street to match Ahmed's last two, and Ahmed called. Schneider turned over the {7-}{a-}{7-} for a seven-five. Ahmed briefly showed his cards but the dealer swept them into the muck because Schneider's hand was the winner.

Schneider, the 2007 WSOP Player of the Year, added $258,960 to a career winnings total that already exceeds $1.7 million. He outlasted a final table that included bracelet winners Ahmed (one), Frankie O'Dell (two) and Rep Porter (two). Congratulations Tom!
