Justin Oliver won his first WSOP bracelet after surviving a field of 566 runners when Event #38 of the 2013 WSOP kicked off. Two full days of play brought only eight survivors to the tables for Day 3.

David “The Dragon” Pham started Day 3 as chip leader and he was looking to take home WSOP bracelet number three. Five-time bracelet winner John Juanda was also alive on Day 3.
With four players at each table, the play was fast and extremely aggressive. Heads-up play started with Schwarmann packing a massive lead against Oliver — approximately 6-1. But Oliver prevailed on the 69th hand of heads-up action to take over the chip lead.
They played on to the 126th hand after the start of heads-up play; Oliver raised to 60,000 and Schwarmann raised to 175,000. Oliver raised to 350,000, and Schwarmann called. Both players checked the board and the fell on the turn. Both players checked. The river sent Schwarmann to move all-in, Oliver called and turned over the for top pair and Schwarmann showed a missed draw with the .
Oliver raced over to his girlfriend and dog on the rail: “WTF just happened?”
