The $1,500 Ante-Only No Limit Hold'em event started with 678 players who jumped into the second-ever event and built a prize pool of $915,300. But it was Ben Volpe at the end, who claimed his first bracelet and $201,399 in prize money after surviving a rocky heads-up match against Paul Lieu.

The was Volpe's third cash in the 2013 series and he survived an almost 100-hand heads-up battle after conquering a 12-hour final table.
Hand #240 put the finishing touch on the lengthy heads-up war when both players limped in to see a flop of . Lieu checked, Volpe bet 35,000 and Lieu quickly moved all-in only to be snap called. The cards were tabled.
Lieu had a pair of aces, and managed to hold with the turn but the on the river gave Volpe the flush. Volpe's rail swarmed the main stage, cheering his win of his first WSOP gold bracelet.
