An extra day was added to the schedule in Event 56 $2,500 No-Limit Hold'em and Nikolaus Teichert and Vincent Maglio returned to the Rio the following day to play out their heads-up match for a bracelet. It took less than an hour for Teichert to take down the victory and a massive payday worth $730,756.

Teichert had the momentum and a chip lead when play was stopped for the night and he continued his run from the beginning of Day 4; Maglio was never able to gain any momentum.

Hand #150 ended the contest. Maglio raised to 240,000. Teichert pushed, and Maglio insta-called.

Teichert: {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}
Maglio: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

The flop came {k-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and kept Maglio in the lead but opening up some chopping outs if a low pair showed. The {9-Diamonds} hit the turn and the {2-Clubs} on the river, and Teichert scooped his first gold bracelet.
