The 2013 World Series of Poker Europe Presented by BarrierePoker.fr schedule of events was released back in May by the WSOP. Changes have been made to the roster! Ladies, prepare to play at the lakefront Casino Barrière Enghien-les-Bains which is less than 10 miles from Paris, and play your best game for poker's most coveted trophy — the gold bracelet in the first-ever €1,000 + €100 buy-in Ladies No-Limit Hold’em tournament.
The Ladies event will kick off the 2013 WSOPE on Friday, October 11th at 6:00 PM local time and is scheduled to run for two days. With the addition of the Ladies event the number of bracelets offered is now eight – both 2012 and 2011 had seven events.
“We first offered a Ladies event at the Vegas WSOP in 1977, and felt it was the right time to add this tradition to WSOPE,” said WSOP Executive Director Ty Stewart. “We need to do more to promote ladies involvement with the game, and with the many breakout stars in the region, it feels like a women’s European championship is long overdue.”
The WSOPE has two weeks of insane poker action planned and will feature 46 non-bracelet side events. A No Limit Hold'em re-entry event will be the first open bracelet event on the schedule; it starts on Saturday, October 12th (Flight A) and Sunday, October 13th (Flight B). If you bust out of Flight A, restart your game and great winning attitude in Sunday's Flight B.
Host partner Barrière has plans to qualify a minimum of 100 players for the €10,000 Main Event through land-based and online promotions. 888 Poker, (live web streaming sponsor), has pledged to qualify a minimum of 50 online players for the Main Event and has plans for additional packages for the preliminary bracelet events.

Cannes hosted the WSOP Europe for two years. The announcement came last December that the WSOP was moving the WSOP Europe to Paris. Casino Barrière Enghien-les-Bains has been newly renovated and will run all of the tournament action in one room while a 500-seat theatre will host the final tables and television production. Look for coverage on ESPN and Eurosport — the 2013 WSOP Europe will be televised around the world.
Phil Hellmuth took down the WSOP Europe Main Event title last year to set a new record by capturing his 13th bracelet. Antonio Esfandiari, Jonathan Aguiar, Roger Hairabedian, Imed Ben Mahmoud, Francisco Da Costa Santos, and Giovanni Rosadoni also took home bracelets.
