The WinStar Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma, played host to the 2013 River Poker Series over the last few weeks and well-known poker pro Maria Ho just took down the $5,000 No Limit Hold'em "No Juice" event. A $300,000 guarantee was offered for the event and 54 runners came out for the competition.

Winning this event brought Ho's lifetime tournament earnings up to $1,441,972 and was her career third six-figure score.

The final table money winners — and Ho's opponents — were Kattamuri Sudwakarar - 2nd for $75,000; Ari Engel - 3rd for $50,250; Jared Jaffee[/B] - 4th for $34,260; Mario Silvestri - 5th for $23,550; and Clinton Baker - 6th for $15,720.

"It feels so great to finally close a tournament, and to win it here at WinStar, which is like a home to me, couldn’t be more perfect," Ho said in a press release. "I know a lot of players say ‘I felt it,’ which doesn’t always pan out, but going into Day 2, I really did feel it." Ho added: "I flew directly to WinStar the day after the ceremony, and now here I am. So, I guess it worked! Thanks, Vanessa!" Vanessa Selbst got married in New York on August 25th.

Ho also had a second-place finish in another prelim event in a 198-player field. The $560 No Limit Hold'em — Ultra event gave her a prize of $16,000. Hoe is a celebrity spokesperson for the WinStar Casino.
