Saturday, November 28th, was a day of setting records for Chris "moorman1" Moorman when he took down a partypoker $215 buy-in event and won $9,500, shooting him past the $10 million mark in lifetime career online earnings. Moorman's incredible record puts him not only as being the first player to pass eight figures, but PocketFives reports that no other player has managed to win more than $7.5 million playing online tournaments.
Moorman told PokerNews.com that he was hoping to surpass the $10 Million mark with a win in the World Championship of Online Poker, but he's satisfied with this win.
"I'm glad to make the mark in style with a victory taking me over the line rather than a bunch of min cashes," Moorman said on Saturday. "Hopefully I can make a run at the WCOOP Main Event tomorrow and get myself well on the way to the next 10 million."
Moorman is currently in Mexico and his friend Paul Foltyn did the honors of taking Moorman's picture during the session on Saturday:
Moorman just launched his interactive website that will keep give readers the treat of bi-weekly blog posts written by Moorman, videos and photos, and cuts of his best hands. Check out www.ChrisMoorman.com to keep up with Moorman news.
"I’m so excited about the launch of the site. It really gives me a chance to be more in touch with my fans and other online players. It also gives me a chance to share more about what is going on in my life in and outside of poker," Moorman said.
