The Garden City Group (GCG) released an update on their dedicated website — FullTiltPokerClaims.com — on Tuesday, October 1st, 2013. The GCG is the group named by the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York to oversee the repayment of Full Tilt Poker players as the Claims Administrator.
We are pleased to report that the Remission Process is now well underway. All told, GCG has sent over 1.4 million email notifications to Full Tilt Poker (“FTP”) players, and in response GCG has already received over 23,500 Petitions through the online filing system.
The email notification process is now complete. If you did not receive an email and you believe you are in Full Tilt's database and should have been identified as a potentially eligible player, please contact us to provide your updated email address and we will provide you with your petition and control numbers if you have been assigned them. To the extent GCG has been provided with physical mailing addresses, we will be sending postcards to Petitioners whose emails were returned as undeliverable in the next few weeks.
Only 23,500 Petitions have been submitted online to the GCG. That figure represents 1.68% of the email notifications sent out by the GCG. The Remissions Process started on September 18th; it has been about two weeks since the process began which leaves a window of six weeks for players to submit a “Petition for Remission." November 16th is the deadline!
It's possible that email addresses have changed for many players that were registered at Full Tilt Poker since Black Friday and many may not have received an email. If you are eligible to receive funds from the remission process, you must contact the GCG to receive your petition and control numbers. If you, or anyone you know, are eligible to receive funds from Full Tilt Poker, you must file a claim; don't let the deadline slip by.
