Poker News | World Series of Poker | WSOP 2013 Online Championships have $500K in added prize money online championships

The launch of kicks open the door to a new era in online poker. Internet poker players in Nevada can enjoy the challenge and reap the rewards in the Online Championships.

The Online Championships is rolling out a series that brings nine events to the online tables at with a massive amount of added money. Players can get in on the rewards by giving the new software a workout while competing for big prize pools.

On October 25th a $100K Freeroll kicks off the series. If you registered an account this summer during the World Series of Poker, or downloaded, the software and verified your account by September 30th, and deposited by October 15th — and are within the state of Nevada — you are eligible for the event. If you missed that window of opportunity, there are eight other events that have plenty of added money up for grabs.

Following the $100K Freeroll, and running daily from October 26th through November 2nd, the Online Championships will host one event each day. The schedule and event is listed below:

The $100K Freeroll will pay 20% of the field. The winner will take home a sweet stack of cash for first place and then take a step into the history books by playing for even more real cash in the $100K Champions Freeroll.

Of the nine events, the first-place finishers will become the "Online Nine" when they take a seat in the $100K Champions Freeroll in a special sit-n-go at the Rio All-Suites Hotel & Casino on November 4th. The Online Nine will play off before the start of the 2013 WSOP Main Event final table. The Online Nine will play down to two players and then return the following day for heads-up play to compete for the title. The event will take place live at the Penn & Teller Theater. The winner is going to take home $50,000, second place receives $30,000, and third place will walk away with $20,000.

The stage is set for the Online Championships and with $500,000 in added prize money, the WSOP has raised the bar for the standard in online poker in Nevada. With half a million dollars added across all the events you want to be right in the players seat!
