Pokerfest: Micro Turbo Edition Online Poker Series running at partypoker

partypoker's 18-day online poker series, “Pokerfest: Micro Turbo Edition,” put cards in the air on Thursday, January 16th, 2014. This edition of Pokerfest is designed exclusively for those within the borders of New Jersey. The Micro Turbo Edition will spread 50 multi-table tournaments that are inexpensive and fast-paced and boast $50,000 in total guaranteed prize pools.

“I’m spending most of late January grinding live at the World Poker Tour Borgata Winter Poker Open* — if I bust a live event I can play online and Pokerfest is ideal as it offers a great variety of games and I don’t have to commit too much time because of the turbo format,” said Team partypoker’s Scott Baumstein.

Here are some highlights of Pokerfest: Micro Turbo Edition:

  • A big choice of tournaments. Hold’em, Omaha, bounty tournaments, rebuys and more with buy-ins from just $0.50.
  • Mega Satellites. Qualify for the $10 buy-in $10,000 guaranteed Deepstack Turbo Main Event at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 2nd, for just $2 every day or enter the 100 seat guarantee tournament on the day at 12.30pm.
  • Leaderboard. Get a $5k package to a WPT® event of your choice for first place in the leaderboard race! Get cash prizes for a finish in the top nine places.
  • Pokerfest Missions: Missions give you a specific goal, challenge them to try new things and improve your game. Improve your poker skills while your taking on a Mission and earn great extra rewards for completing them. Completing a Mission or opting in to compete is not visible to other players. There are three levels of Missions: Easy, Regular and Hard. For example: The Pokerfest Easy Mission requires the following: Play one tournament every day for 5 days – knock 5 opponents out of tournaments and triple your stack in a single hand in one of the tournaments. Achieve your mission and get rewarded with $5.

“This is poker for people with any kind of bankroll. We kick off on Thursday 16th January with two events with buy-ins of just $1 and $2,” said Team partypoker Founding Father Mike Sexton. “On Friday 17th January PLO enters the schedule and it continues to be fast and furious all the way from there on with missions and a leaderboard all the way through to the final days’ events. The showpiece grand finale is the $10 buy-in $10,000 guaranteed Deepstack Turbo Main Event on Sunday 2nd February (event 49) at 2pm, the perfect way to warm-up for the first Superbowl in New Jersey."
