The future of online gaming in the US up for debate by the BIGS

The BIGS are coming out to meet up in iGaming North America's fourth annual conference to be held in Las Vegas at Planet Hollywood from March 19th-21st. The BIGS? Andy Abboud, Vice President of Government Relations for Las Vegas Sands Corporation, and Mitch Garber, CEO and Director of Caesars Interactive Entertainment — the BIGS — will be a major part of the annual Visionaries Session during the conference.

The conference is set to introduce the global iGaming industry and the land-based gaming businesses of North America. The discussion at the conference: "Is iGaming the Problem or the Solution?"

Sue Schneider, Founder of eGaming Brokerage and a partner in the conference, said, “Our goal for iGaming North America is to provide debates on a number of critical issues to the iGaming industry. Hearing these visionaries discuss the rationales for their differing views offers an appropriate launch to several of those debates which will be featured on the program."

The risks of online gaming and the need for prohibition are part of Sheldon Adelson's campaign so it stands to reason that Abboud's testifying in front of Congress recently on those issues allow Adelson a direct voice to the government.

Abboud will undoubtedly hold up his end of the argument on Adelson's behalf while Garber will take a stance as a proponent of the regulation and legalization of iGaming and address potential concerns in advance.

The moderator of the debate will be The World Poker Tour's founder Steven Lipscomb.
