A new series has just been added to the PokerStars global poker calendar that will be introduced at the Playground Poker Club. Both PokerStars and the Playground Poker Club are excited to announce the PokerStars Canada Cup which will run from May 16th to the 28th, 2014. The Main Event features three starting flights with a buy-in of $3,300 and is almost guaranteed to kick up your heart rate and give you a truly exciting run for the money with a next-day reentry format and a big $2 million guarantee on the table.

There's more — the PokerStars Canada Cup includes a $10,400 High Roller event and 10 other side events that will keep you at the tables with a total of 12 events played out over 13 days.

The kickoff event - a $150 No-Limit Hold’em Reentry has four entry flights and a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool; a $330 Pot-Limit Omaha/No-Limit Hold’em mixed event; and a two-day $550 Pot-Limit Omaha Three Lives are a few of the other events in the PokerStars Canada Cup. The tournaments offered include the ever-popular six-max and eight-max No Limit Hold’em formats along with a $300 Bounty event.

Just 20-minutes south of downtown Montreal, the Playground Poker Club opened in late 2010 and since 2012 has been hosting major international poker events. The Playground is the biggest poker room in Canada and known throughout the poker world for drawing big fields and building massive prize pools. The one magic standard that sets the Playground Poker Club head-and-shoulders above the rest is that it gears towards players being able to immerse themselves in an exception poker experience!

The tournament hall will set the stage for the events in the PokerStars Canada Cup where over 500 players can get in action, with high-quality, newly-felted tables, and premium seating — playing long hours will make one truly appreciate the tournaments held in the tournament hall. A fan of the Playground Poker Club, top tournament player Jeff Gross had this to say: “Playground has to be one of my favorite venues in the world to play cards. These guys have the formula down to a T.”

The Rail Coal Fire Bistro will bring food table-side for a delicious meal for players and massage therapists are waiting to soothe the wrinkles from long poker sessions. A dedicated team of TDA-certified personnel and professional and knowledgeable dealers will be on hand to give players the perfect combination everyone expects when they enter a tournament series — big prize pools, excitement, and huge action, all delivered to perfection!

Start making your travel plans now and head for the Playground Poker Club during the PokerStars Canada Cup from May 16th-28th. Visit the Playground Poker Club's website for the complete schedule!
