Police Confirm Poker Pro Johannes Strassmann Missing in Slovenia

On Tuesday afternoon Slovenian police sent a note out to the national media with the following: On Saturday, June 21st, German poker pro Johannes Strassmann disappeared in Slovenia's capital city of Ljubljana and is reported missing.

In Slovenia to visit friends, Strassmann disappeared around 10 PM on Saturday evening in the heart of Ljubljana's old town in Gornji. Strassmann suddenly left the group and then vanished quickly in one of Gornji's side streets according to those that were with him at the time. spoke with Slovenian police officer Vesna Drole who confirmed Strassmann's disappearance and emphasized that the police are working as fast as possible to find out what happened to Strassmann.

"Yes, I can confirm that the Slovenian police is currently looking for a German citizen named Johannes Strassman," officer Drole said. "I don't know the circumstances and I do not know what happened, but I can assure you that we are looking for him as we speak."

The identikit for a 180cm tall, short-haired, blonde young man wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans was issued by the police on Tuesday — the picture confirms the missing person is Johannes Strassmann.

The national media has been asked to step in by Slovenian police officials as they work to unravel the mystery of what happened to the German Poker pro. The media can be a big aid by getting involved in a search for Strassmann by helping spread the news more quickly.
