David Miscikowski has been around the poker scene long enough for everyone that knows anything about poker to know that he can handle the game from both the live felt and online. Everyone may not know that his first final table — even though he has 11 previous WSOP cashes — was in Event #49: $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em!!! And he won it!
Final Table Payouts
The prizepool grew to a massive $3,271,200 when 696 runners hit the felt — each aiming to claim the $719,607 first-place prize and poker's most prized trophy, the WSOP gold bracelet!
Miscikowski was the chip leader with about 20% of the chips in play when the final table started. And when it got down to David Miscikowski and Norbert Szecsi, the battle was on and after three hours of heads-up play, the two bagged and tagged for the night. When they returned, Szecsi had the chip lead through most of the first level but after a break at Level 32, Miscikowski managed to win the tournament within two hands.
Norbert Szecsi shoved on the button for 3.865 million and David Miscikowski made the big blind call.
The flop came — the turn came — the came on the river! Miscikowski took home the bracelet and the first-place prize and cemented another notch in his poker resume!
