The Season 11 schedule is set to roll out awesome poker action, good times, and great memories when the European Poker Tour returns Spain's Casino Barcelona for the first stop! The tour is also celebrating an amazing milestone — it will be the 100th stop in EPT history!
PokerStars has plans! We could stop with that sentence alone and if you're familiar with PokerStars, you know that PokerStars never misses an opportunity to put the word CELEBRATE at the top of "C" in the dictionary. Players attending EPT Barcelona are going to enjoy a heavy 44-event schedule — view it here — and a full menu of promotions and activities that will stamp 'celebrate' on the entire historic stop.
The national Estrellas Poker Tour and EPT 100 are joining forces to create the EPT Barcelona Poker Festival, and includes the €1,100 Estrellas Main Event, the €5,300 EPT Main Event, and the prestigious €50,000 Super High Roller.
“We are very excited about this unique event,” said EPT President Edgar Stuchly. “The 100th EPT is one of the most important milestones in the history of the EPT and is also set to be one of the most memorable with a host of activities for players as well as a very exciting poker schedule.”
Now that you know the poker action will totally rock Barcelona, get ready for more. There will be free activities and competitions as part of the exciting and unique celebration — make sure you use the hashtag "#EPT100" to join in the conversation surrounding the event.
“From speedboat trips to GoCars, EPTLive and Instagram competitions, to qualifier freerolls and a special challenge with Team Pros, an unrivalled schedule of pursuits will be on offer for all players at the historic 100th EPT event,” from the PokerStars press release. “#EPT100 will be at the fore in all activities — and prizes up for grabs include EPT Barcelona side events seats, Skullcandy headphones, an iPad Mini, VIP Store merchandise, and an #EPT100 limited edition hamper of goodies.”
Not only will Team PokerStars Pro members have the opportunity to enjoy the festivities and activities in Barcelona aside from poker, but all EPT and Estrellas’ players are welcome to join in the following free activities:
- Free Jet Ski rides, launching from Port Olimpic dock just two minutes from Casino Barcelona
- Free speedboat rides, also launching from Port Olimpic
- Free BiciBike expeditions around Barcelona; Take in the city sights on an 18-seater bicycle and sample some great beers.
- Fun tours round Barcelona in a fabulous two-seater GoCar
PokerStars is also offering special promotions for EPT Barcelona full package and Main Event seat qualifiers — those players will be eligible to compete in a dedicated online freeroll on Sunday, August 17th. Make it to the top five in the freeroll and you'll be invited to an exclusive “#EPT100 Barcelona Takedown” day on August 21st where you'll stand alongside members of Team PokerStars Pro. The Barcelona Takedown is going to be a day filled with the excitement and challenges: Against-the-clock Barcelona photo challenge, jet ski rides, lunch at a top restaurant, one-on-one training, and a seat in the EPT100 10-max Challenge tournament, to win EPT side-event buy-ins.
