Poker's Baddest Bad Boy Gets Hitched! Congrats Tony G and Aistė

Tony and Aiste getting married

Tony G made a number of major changes in his life recently and from the smile on his face they are choices that cement life commitments and begin shaping goals to channel his energy in a new direction. Previously we watched The G skyrocket around the world as he played poker and wracked up wins and awards, represented Team partypoker, promoted his brainchild and, and in general, showed the world that he had what it takes to survive and progress.

Tony set his sights on the European Parliament when he made the announcement late last year that he would be running for office with the Lithuanian Liberal Party. He was elected in May. One of life's greatest moments and commitments became a reality for Tony yesterday when he married his long-time companion Aistė Šlapokaitė. The ceremony was held in Tony's beloved Vilnius, Lithuania.

"Today we have sworn to each other in front of God and our guests!" Tony G said immediately after both parties said "yes" to the vows and signed the registers to confirm the marriage. "I have searched for my other better half for a long time and finally found her in my home country. We have tested each other during our two-year relationship, and I can easily tell that my wife is a wonderful person — wise, understanding, supportive, warm, sensitive, accepting me with all my weaknesses."

"I wish all of you to not get tired looking for the right person," Tony added. "Because it is so good to find somebody to be with in your life."

"The entire iBus Media team wishes Tony the best on his wedding day," said iBus Media CEO Jon Squires. "He's a great founder and boss, and someone who has built PokerNews in to a successful, fun, and progressive company. That said, we are all pretty sure that he's somehow bluffed Aistė into this!"

Friends flew to Vilnius to attend the wedding and then joined the bride and groom in a celebration at the Tony Resort near Lithuania's old capital Trakai). Members of the poker world came to join Tony and wish him the best, such as long-time friend Warren Lush, Phil Hellmuth and Dave "Devilfish" Ulliott were part of the gathering.

"Congratulations to Tony and Aiste," Hellmuth said. "The poker world misses him, but the world is a better place with a strong Tony G working to improve it."

The team at PokerWorks sends a gift basket of happiness, love, life, and good energy that replenishes daily. Wishing you the very best Tony and Aistė!
