The One Drop Foundation, created to raise money to help people around the world in a fight against poverty and providing safe, clean water to those in need, just picked up a new fund raising source. The 2014 World Series of Poker Big One for One Drop champion Daniel Colman and 2014 European Poker Tour Barcelona Super High Roller champion Olivier Busquet are set to help grow the financial resources of the organization which was created in 2011. Busquet and Colman are planning on raising money for the organization by auctioning off their poker coaching services.
The coaching services are part of a package that also includes:
- A buy-in for the $1,111 Little One for One Drop
- A three-night stay in a Caesars Palace suite
- Dinner for two at Nobu.
The items listed above are donated by Caesars Interactive Entertainment, the owner of the WSOP.
Charitybuzz will host the first part of the auction. Charitybuzz auctions provide unique experiences and luxuries to the public through different charity auctions that include Breastcancer.org, Children's Health Fund, and WhyHunger. New York City is the location of the second part of the auction.
At 11:00 AM ET on March 19th, the online bidding will end and live bidding will begin on March 20th. Charitybuzz is asking those interested in bidding to place a current bid and to list what their maximum bid is in order to continue bidding through a representative during the live auction.
The suggested value of the package is $10,000. Currently the bid $3,000. The next bid will need to come in at a minimum of $3,250. There are about nine hours left in the online bidding phase.
Colman went to Twitter to show his enthusiasm:
