The 2015 Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) events kicked off the massive online poker festival at PokerStars on Sunday. But as highly anticipated as SCOOP is to the poker players of the world, thousands were focused on witnessing the making of two new millionaires during the two Millionaire Final tournaments that played out on Sunday, May 10th, at the world's largest online poker room.
The PokerStars Makes Millionaires promotion brought life-changing money to Russia's "CccpVodka" on April 22nd and Poland's "bladsonpoker" on April 28th. But the making of Millionaires didn't stop there. PokerStars two Millionaire Final tournaments brought Bulgaria's "Citoject" and Taiwan's Juanyi "JUANYI828" Lin into the spotlight and a new tax bracket with a seven-figure cash — $1,000,000.
Randy "nanonoko" Lew's channel on Twitch.tv and the PokerStars client allowed over 5,000 viewers to enjoy the excitement of two tables where 12 players who qualified during the Challenge All-In Shootout events held in April were battling it out to take home the massive poker win. No deals were allowed once the two tables for the two Millionaire Final events were set. The 12 qualifiers had their work cut out for them as they fought it out for a combined prize pool of $2.3 million and 4 million Frequent Player Points!
Before the event began Lin told the PokerStars Blog, "It's unimaginable," referring to winning the event!
Lin is a 37-year-old factory worker from Taiwan (or should we say ex-factory worker) who made history to become the 26th player to ever bring home a prize of $1 million or more.
"citoject" became $1 million richer a few minutes before Lin's remarkable victory. Russia's "agafon666" may rue May 10th for the rest of his life as he was a no show for the event after qualifying for a seat. "citoject's" game ran without "agaon666" and, as they say, "The rest is history!"
Lin and "citoject" may have scored the top prize and claimed the two Millionaire Final cash prizes but the other players didn't go home empty handed.
The official payout of the two events:
Millionaire Final I
|2||waterman3888||Germany||$50,000 and 1 million FPPs|
|3||gol1974||Russia||$40,000 and 1 million FPPs|

The PokerStars Makes Millionaires promotion is still ready to spin out more millionaires by the end of May thanks to the $1 million Spin & Go tournaments, the Spring Championship of Online Poker Main Event (High) on May 24th, and the All-in Shootout Deposit Raffle running from May 2nd-22nd.
