partypoker Postpones Pokerfest - Recent Updates Could affect Player's Experience

The $2,500,000 guaranteed partypoker Pokerfest that was scheduled to start on Sunday, September 27, has been postponed due to recent updates that could affect performance issues. The 80-event, $2.5 million guaranteed prize pool series schedule has been changed. It's set to kick off on to Sunday, October 25, 2015 and to compensate for any inconvenience caused to players by the delayed schedule, partypoker is adding a $50,000 freeroll to the new schedule.

Director of Games for, Golan Shaked, noted in email sent to players:

"Clearly this is disappointing for all of us, but following an update to our service earlier this week, we have been working to resolve some performance issues that have impacted certain aspects of our service offering. This work is on-going and whilst we expect to resolve things soon, rather than risk a sub-optimal experience for our players during Pokerfest, we have decided to postpone the start of the tournament schedule to Sunday 25 October 2015."

All players that had registered for Pokerfest tournaments will have their buy-in refunded and tickets that were won through satellites are valid and can be used in the revised Pokerfest schedule.

The upside of this development is that those of you who may not have been able to devote the time to Pokerfest with the previous schedule will now have time to get ready for the new start date — including playing satellites to get a seat.
