Lynette Chan
If you find yourself sitting at the poker table across from Lynette Chan, don’t let her pretty face and sweet demeanor fool you, she’s there to take your cash—and she is good at it. Lynette was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and started playing live poker games for low limits in local casinos. As her skills and bankroll grew she mastered one level after another—she can be found today playing high stakes No Limit Hold’em in poker rooms like Bellagio in Las Vegas and the Commerce Casino in Los Angles—she also enjoys
Pot Limit Omaha and Hi/Lo
Omaha.
Prior to going pro, Lynette was a marketing executive for high priced sports cars like Mercedes and Ferrari’s—things that go fast—like her poker career has. Although she had been playing cash games for several years, Chan only started playing tournaments in 2006, she was introduced to online poker rooms and was signed by
Full Tilt Poker. She joins other notable Full Tilt Pro women players:
Jennifer Harman, Erica Schoenberg, J.J. Liu, Clonie Gowen,
Karina Jett, and
Kristy Gazes.
She plays online exclusively at Full Tilt Poker — mixing her play between tournaments and cash games of
No Limit Hold’em —her best game.
Lynette, who now lives in Southern California, has also spent time in the high fashion world of modeling—but her true passion—other than poker, is golf. She plays at least three times a week and in her words, “has found an amazing golf coach” and “hopes to attend qualifying school before she turns 30”. She is dedicated to staying in shape and follows an intense regime of weights, Pilates, yoga and cardio work out nearly everyday of the week. Lynette also loves animals and does volunteer work for animal shelters and humane societies.
