Sensing the champion is bluffing, you go over the top, taking a huge hand from the champion. That could happen, right? Only if your name is Matt Damon and you are starring in the movie Rounders. Johnny Chan may have played the role of loser in that film, but if you were actually able to take a large amount of money from him that would surely be Hollywood material - or a dream.

 Where Are They Now - Berry Johnston
Many of the poker players that we have discussed in our “Where Are They Now Series,” seem to believe that the way to fully come to your money making potential is to get your name “out there” as much as humanly possible. If they have a chance to be on a talk show, they take it. A chance to be in a magazine, they take it.

 Where are they now - Tom McEvoy
A lot of poker players generally take the game up early on in their lives, but it would be hard to imagine anyone taking to the game at a younger age than Tom McEvoy. Just five years after his November 14, 1944 birth in Grand Rapids, Michigan, he was already beginning to learn the game.

 Where are they now - “Gentleman” Jack Keller
Jack Keller jumped into the public’s eye in 1984 when he won the 1984 World Series of Poker Main Event, but he was a well respected player among his peers long before that. Keller would leave the world much too early, but in his time here he surely made the most of it.

 Where Are They Now - Jack Straus
“Treetop” Jack Straus didn’t have a long, extensive career in poker due to his death, caused by a heart attack, at the age of just 58, but he certainly made the most of his playing career while he was here. Each successful poker player, especially World Series of Poker main event winners, seem to have very interesting stories, almost bordering on the line of folklore.

 Where are they now - Stu “The Kid” Ungar
What a difference a year makes. The 1979 World Series of Poker Main Event was won by a relatively unknown player, Hal Fowler. The next year introduced the poker world to a player that would go down as one of the best players in history. Stu “The Kid” Ungar was a natural card player almost from the day he was born.

Bobby Baldwin is unique in a world full of unique poker players. What separates him from the rest of the bunch is that he made his mark in the world of poker before making his mark in the world of business. He already had a bracelet, a million dollars in live cashes, thousands in online cashes and on March 14th 2008 he added a World Poker Tour title to that mix, along with a cool million dollar pay out. 26 year-old Brandon Cantu is high off of his recent win up in San Jose and isn’t letting off the gas anytime soon.

 The Round Table – Ciaran O’Leary – The Rock of Lyons
The largest non-main event World Series of Poker tournament in history occurred last year and Ciaran O’Leary was the one who brought it to an end. With more than 2900 players ponying up the $1500 buy-in, it was O’Leary who walked away with most of their cash, a $727,000 first place pay out.
